How can a Retirement Financial Plan help me?
A retirement plan will help you make informed decisions about your financial future when transitioning from employment into retirement. It will provide tailored retirement financial advice that covers superannuation management, income stream structuring, investment strategy, and tax-efficient withdrawal options. Our experienced advisers will help in ensuring your money lasts and supports your desired lifestyle. Ongoing reviews and adjustments ensure your financial planning remains aligned with changing market conditions and personal goals. Early planning is important, so call Apex Financial Services Group a few years before you intend to retire so we can take advantage of available strategies.

Do You Provide Investment Advice?
Yes. We create personalised investment strategies based on your goals, risk tolerance, and time horizon. Our focus is on long‑term, sustainable wealth creation rather than short‑term speculation.
How Often Will We Review My Financial Plan?

Defence & DVA Financial Advice FAQs
When can I make my (PI) Permanent Impairment election?
You can make your election once we have invoiced DVA on your behalf, which is usually the day of your appointment.
After your initial appointment, we will send you a number of forms to complete and sign. One of those forms authorises us to invoice DVA on your behalf. We let you know you can make your election as soon as we have received the completed forms and have invoiced DVA.
If I have DVA funding for Financial Advice, do you invoice DVA directly?
Yes we do. Once we receive your signed Authority to Charge DVA form, we invoice DVA directly so you don’t have to worry about upfront fees or reimbursement.
Does the DVA funding cover the cost of a Financial Plan?
The DVA funded financial advice covers the cost of a financial plan relating to your election. It provides clarity around the options in your letter of offer from DVA. This can include looking at aspects of your financial circumstances so that you can make an informed decision about how the DVA offer will affect social security and other entitlements you may receive as well as what option is most beneficial to you.
In some situations, additional advice may be helpful. For example, where a partner is involved or where broader retirement planning is required. This advice may attract an additional cost however, it will be discussed with you during the Initial Consultation, and you are under no obligation to proceed.
Do You Work With Defence Members Who Are Still Serving?
Yes. We assist currently serving ADF members with superannuation, insurance, transition from defence planning, and understanding future DVA entitlements. Early planning can make a significant difference to long‑term outcomes.
Can You Help with Services Australia or Social Security Advice?
Yes. We regularly assist clients with understanding how their financial decisions may affect Services Australia entitlements, including Age Pension, Disability Support Pension, and DVA‑related payments. We help you structure your finances to avoid unintended impacts.
